There were two false starts caused by Aristides and Phlegon, but once they got away it was Prizefighter who cut out the early pace. At the Red House the favourite Cotherstone made his bid for glory, but inside the distance Prizefighter fought back on the rails and Nutwith came with a late rattle between them. At the line only a short head separated Nutwith and Cotherstone, with just a neck back to Prizefighter, the winners time being 3 minutes 20 seconds. | Over Round 125% |
